Let's not harbor any illusions. Cinema is a typical industry, and, first and foremost, it's about money.
Take a closer look at awards. Open up a few nominees, and if you haven't forgotten the script, you'll see yet another set
of predictable moments, each so easily digestible that you can consume them absentmindedly. Demand begets
supply. That's why conveyors of churning out such works according to certain templates emerge.
Of course, in the 1890s, when moviegoers flocked to the cinemas, they were enchanted by moving images, and that was enough. Today, true creativity cannot be naïve! A simple story, set designs, special effects, popular actors... Isn't that what many people love about films? Unfortunately, yes. As a result, for producers and directors, a box office flop is worse than an artistic one.
When you possess the transformative power, indulging in the creation of fairground spectacles is dishonest even toward yourself. Let’s change focus! Historical and cultural heritage, without the right approach, won't enrich itself.

idea of forming a well-considered and independent rating. Stringent selection criteria and a proprietary scoring
system give the right to be proud of the work done.
I've examined movies in search of comprehensive and expressive works understandable to the majority of people that would undoubtedly evoke emotions and touch your hearts. Over 1,000 films underwent analysis. Some had to be rewatched two or three times. Nevertheless, even now, after 10 years, the list continues to grow.
Understand that when the sole goal of a team is to make a film profitable, it has no connection to art. Because the ability to make a film and the ability to sell it are not identical. Hence, even high-quality and mechanically accurate projects have a chance to remain in obscurity or fade into oblivion after decades.
So, I say to you: watch the right cinema. It makes you smarter!

As soon as a sequel is produced, the film, as a final narrative structure, ceases to exist for me.
It's quite logical that it is excluded from the ranking and falls into a new category.
I understand why is difficult to replicate the initial success. A finished canvas doesn't need additional strokes! That's why all sequels, threequels, spin-offs, and reboots are what I call «sagas». As the timing increases, all always lose depth and vibrancy. Please note that only a handful of them manage to overcome these barriers.
