REVELATION. Wealth: a Blessing or a Curse?

Serenity / PAVEL GRATA

It often seems to us that the life will be better if our pockets are filled with bank cards, we have black caviar for breakfast, and our house looks like a monument of architectural art.
Certainly, when you long for getting out of poverty or you’re aim is to earn, money will make you happy for a while, but afterwards, it often happens that it's not you who has wealth, it's wealth which owns you!
The society does not cease to feel sorry for and help the poor and downtrodden (what is certainly gratifying), pointing out that they are long-suffering or have difficulties and problems, but never grieve for the well off.
Actually, these are the latter, who lose the meaning of life and gradually turn into slaves of their own system chasing the means to fulfill their desires in the wrong belief that richness is all they need to be happy. But their happiness is illusive, and the abundance of material goods always leads to collapse!
The time spent on making millions is compensated by at least a couple of addictions, loneliness, and expensive whores. Finally, they have everything, but they are absolutely miserable, and it's absurd and paradoxical.
The Parable of the Rich Fool (Luke 12:16-21) contains the answer, explaining that it's not the money but love to it that spoils a man. All odds and problems are the result of exactly the wrong perception of the wealth that a man possesses. And these decisions can cost you a life if they are not an instrument to achieve ambitious goals.
The problem is only in the degree of dependence on money and on the primal temptation, blessing the ones and cursing of others...
